Stephanie is bilingual, English and Portuguese. She has roots in Azores, Portugal. She graduated from Montana State University-BIllings with a Masters degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health. She completed her internship and practicum in a rehabilitation center for children and adolescents. After receiving her license in counseling, she became an elementary school based mental health therapist for 5 years. She incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Dialetical (DBT) and Family Systems modality.
Stephanie strives to make a safe and welcoming environment for her clients. She has worked with children and young adults with anxiety, depression, low self esteem and low confidence. Stephanie loves helping young adults, children and their families overcome daily challenges, explore triggers, building new coping skills and increasing their self esteem and confidence. She believes in a client centered approach. During the therapeutic session, she uses cognitive therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy.
